The upcoming DC animated series Batman: Caped Crusader has officially found its Joker for Season 2 and the role has gone to Matthew Needham, fresh off his breakout success in House of the Dragon. After weeks of speculation, the casting was confirmed during a presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, where producers unveiled major updates about the show’s next chapter.

Deadline reported that Needham will voice the iconic villain in the second season, a move celebrated by fans attending the Comic-Con panel. Producers James Tucker and Geoffrey Thorne, along with voice actors Hamish Linklater (Batman) and Jamie Chung, joined Needham on stage as the Season 2 premiere episode was screened for select attendees.

The event also featured the debut trailer for the new video‑game adaptation, Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles, expanding the series into a broader multimedia universe.

Needham’s casting marks a significant shift for the animated franchise, bringing a fresh interpretation to one of DC’s most legendary antagonists. His performance is expected to add new depth and menace to the Joker as Season 2 continues the noir‑inspired storytelling that defined the show’s first season.
