Kelly Clarkson has officially announced the end of The Kelly Clarkson Show, bringing her seven‑season run on NBC to a close. The singer, songwriter and mother of two shared the emotional update on Tuesday morning, confirming she has chosen to step away from the daily grind of hosting to focus on her children and the next chapter of her life.
A Heartfelt Goodbye to Her Team and Fans
In a deeply personal statement posted to her social media accounts, Clarkson expressed gratitude to the people who helped shape the show into a daytime favourite.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York,” she wrote. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honoured to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”
Clarkson acknowledged that the decision was far from easy.
“Because of all that, this was not an easy decision but this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives.”
A Personal Turning Point
The announcement comes months after the sudden passing of her ex‑husband, talent manager Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson and Blackstock married in 2013, divorced in 2022, and shared two children: daughter River Rose and son Remington. The loss has added another layer of reflection to an already transformative period in her life.
With her talk show now concluding, Clarkson appears ready to refocus on family, music and whatever creative ventures come next.
