Inqilab Mancha has vowed to continue its street protests until justice is served for the killing of its spokesperson, Shahid Sharif Osman Hadi. The group has also warned that it will launch a more intense movement aimed at toppling the government after January 7.
Speaking at a blockade program, member secretary Abdullah Al Jaber said they reject what he described as misleading statements from the authorities regarding Hadi’s death. He claimed Hadi was targeted because he took a firm stand in favor of Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty and spoke out against what he viewed as cultural dominance from India.
Jaber added that even after 21 days, the government has failed to identify or arrest the real killers, which he said shows a lack of genuine intent. He warned that if the government files charges only against Faisal Karim Masud on January 7, the move will not be accepted under any circumstances.
