Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul has announced the launch of the country’s first “Bangladesh Cricket Conference,” an initiative aimed at uniting cricket stakeholders from across the nation under one platform.
Since taking charge in his first term as BCB president, Bulbul has emphasized decentralizing cricket administration and expanding the game’s reach beyond Dhaka. He has personally traveled to different regions to engage with local cricket communities and previously announced plans to establish regional BCB offices across the country.
In a video message released by the BCB, Bulbul explained the vision behind the new conference. He highlighted that cricket is spread across 64 districts and eight divisions, and the goal is to bring together all those involved in the sport from district cricket presidents, sports officers, and coaches to women entrepreneurs and grassroots organizers.
Bulbul said the conference will serve as a forum to identify the needs of Bangladesh cricket, determine how the BCB can provide support, and ensure that every stakeholder feels included in the process of advancing the game. “We want to know what Bangladesh cricket requires, how the board can help, and how we can all work together to move the game forward,” he stated.
The initiative reflects Bulbul’s broader vision of making cricket development more inclusive, participatory, and regionally balanced. By engaging stakeholders from every level, the BCB hopes to strengthen the pipeline of talent, improve infrastructure, and create opportunities for both men’s and women’s cricket nationwide.
The Bangladesh Cricket Conference is expected to become a landmark event, fostering collaboration between administrators, coaches, players, and community leaders. It also signals a shift toward a more consultative and transparent approach in cricket governance under Bulbul’s leadership.
