Effective immediately, the government has announced a ban on visitor entry to the Bangladesh Secretariat on Mondays and Thursdays each week. The decision aims to streamline security and administrative operations within the government complex.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a formal notification on Wednesday, May 28, confirming the new measure. The notice states that, “Considering the meeting of the Advisory Council and overall matters, entry of all types of visitors into the Bangladesh Secretariat will remain suspended every Monday and Thursday of each week until further notice.”

This move underscores the government’s efforts to enhance security protocols and manage the flow of visitors more effectively within the administrative hub. Further updates on the situation are expected as authorities evaluate the impact of this temporary restriction.
