Critical Stabbing on the Central Coast Sparks Urgent Police Investigation

1 min read

A man is fighting for his life after a brutal stabbing on the New South Wales Central Coast early Tuesday morning. The alarm was raised around 6 am when police responded to a distress call from a unit in North Gosford, discovering a 38-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

Authorities believe the attack was carried out by two individuals familiar to the victim: a man and a woman. Police say they were involved in a confrontation with the victim before the stabbing occurred. NSW Police Chief Inspector Col Lott revealed that the victim was allegedly stabbed in the back, upper body, and left arm during the altercation.

“From the subsequent screams for help, neighbours came out to see what was happening and observed the two persons of interest leaving the scene,” Inspector Lott explained.

The injured man was rushed to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition with wounds to his upper body, prompting a rapid police investigation into the assault. Authorities are now working to locate the suspects and piece together the events leading up to the violent attack.
