Pop icon Beyoncé has postponed her much-anticipated January 14 announcement, citing the devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram early Sunday, she expressed her deep concern for the families and communities affected by the disaster.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,” she wrote. “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”

Beyoncé’s decision comes as the wildfires continue to wreak havoc in the area. In her post, she also highlighted the philanthropic efforts of her foundation, BeyGOOD, which has already donated $2.5 million to support families who have lost their homes and assist community organizations providing immediate relief.
