A fire that erupted in a garage at the Tejgaon truck stand in Dhaka on Sunday morning was swiftly contained, thanks to the prompt actions of local firefighting units. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. and drew immediate attention from the Fire Service.

Talha Bin Zasim, a spokesperson for the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters, confirmed the outbreak but did not provide specific details about the garage or its operations. Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick plumes of smoke rising from the vicinity, raising concerns among nearby workers and passersby.

Upon receiving reports of the fire, three firefighting units from the Tejgaon Fire Station quickly mobilized to the scene. Their rapid response was crucial in preventing the blaze from spreading to adjacent structures, which are densely packed in the bustling area. Firefighters worked diligently and managed to extinguish the flames within half an hour, showcasing their efficiency and training in handling such emergencies.
