Journalists and cultural activists observed mourning day in London

The 49th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated on the initiative of journalists and cultural activists living in the UK.

Speakers at the event held at the Kabi Nazrul Center in East London on Thursday (August 15) evening said that no one can erase or erase history at will, every time an attempt is made to erase it, history comes back with its glory.

In the event, brave freedom fighters, progressive journalists and cultural activists remembered Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest father of the Bengali nation for a thousand years, in songs, poems and discussions.

Many people present at the mourning gathering were moved to tears when talking about the burning of Bangabandhu’s 32 Dhanmondi house, which is the memory of the long independence movement of Bengalis, taking the opportunity of a political change recently.

Abu Musa Hasan, a brave freedom fighter living in the UK, Dewan Gous Sultan spoke at the event. Freedom fighter Himanshu Goswami of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra remembered Bangabandhu in songs.
