Three people, including a Bangladeshi, were killed in a shootout with the police in Malaysia’s Pahang state. The incident happened at Jalan Pekan-Kuantan in that state at 11:30 on Monday (March 11). The deceased were members of a gang of robbers.
According to a report in Malaysia’s Star Online, the police suspect that they are members of the Centro gang involved in robberies and robberies in several gold shops. Two Vietnamese nationals aged 34 to 44 and one Bangladeshi national, aged 38, were killed. Their bodies were recovered from a car. However, their names have not been disclosed.
Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahya Othman said a Glock-17 type pistol with seven rounds of ammunition was seized from them. Apart from this, other tools used in the robbery were also found, including two machete blades.
