Although Rangpur Riders were the table toppers in the group stage, Comilla Victorians had ignored the star-studded riders in the first qualifier. Rangpur flew away with the bat of Tawhid Hriday-Liton Das. The defending champions booked their ticket to the final with an 8-wicket win. On the other hand, there is a second chance for Rangpur. Rangpur lost the toss in the first qualifier at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Monday (February 26) and went into bat first, losing 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scoring 185 runs. Neesham scored the highest unbeaten 97 runs for the team. In response, Comilla lost 4 wickets in 18 overs and reached the port of victory.
Chasing a big goal, Comilla did not start well at all. Sunil Narine returned to Sajghar on the first ball of the innings.
