The bereaved family of a young woman who passed away last week at a well-known Sydney brewery has received an abundance of support.
Savana Calvo, 27, died suddenly at the Young Henrys brewery in Enmore, in Sydney‘s inner west, at about 11.30pm on Wednesday. She had been drinking with pals at the location, which wasn’t far from her house. Her sudden death has sent shockwaves amongst loved ones and locals in the area, where she was known to frequent nearby cafes and bars.
According to her family and friends, she had been going through “trying times” which “led to her tragic passing”. The brewery was closed the next day by police. However, her death is not being treated as suspicious.
s a local to the area and an active member of the Sydney nightlife scene, her loss has been deeply felt by the community.
In an effort to support Calvo’s family and raise money for the young model’s funeral, her friend Adam St John-Foti set up GoFundMe page. At the time of writing, the page has raised more than $28,000. In an update, John-Foti said that Calvo’s family were “spellbound” by the response the fundraiser has received.
Calvo has been described as a “cherished daughter, sister and friend who brought so much love and light into all of our lives.”
All funds raised by the GoFundMe will go to arranging Calvo’s memorial and funeral.
“Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that Savana is laid to rest with the dignity, respect, and celebration she deserves,” John-Foti wrote on the GoFundMe.
“We also appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to Savana’s family as we navigate through our grief.”
Our condolences go out to Calvo’s loved ones at this difficult time.
