A 30-year-old woman’s body was discovered in the bedroom of a house in the southern Perth suburb of Warnbro that had been severely destroyed by fire. The woman’s death is being investigated by the police as a “murder”.
After being notified of the fire on Currie Street at around one in the morning, emergency services discovered the woman’s body early on Friday morning. After receiving treatment for smoke inhalation, a thirty-something man and a three-year-old girl were admitted to the hospital for additional care. That man is helping investigators in their work. The Arson Squad was still at the scene conducting investigations, according to Acting Detective Superintendent David Gorton of the Homicide Squad, who stated that the residence had only minor fire.
