A woman in her 30s has suffered serious burns and was rushed to hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition after a blaze broke out in a Queensland unit complex early Monday morning. Another man, whose age has not been confirmed, was also taken to hospital but is reported to be in a stable condition.

The fire erupted on the third floor of the complex, prompting a full evacuation as firefighters worked to contain the flames. The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) said the blaze was brought under control within about 20 minutes, with all crews clearing the scene by 5:30 a.m.

Queensland Police confirmed that the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigators are expected to examine the scene today.
