UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili urged destinations to priorities sustainability: “As we welcome visitors back, we must protect local communities and natural resources.” The report highlights micro-season travel and off-peak promotions as key growth strategies.
Airlines and hotels are already expanding capacity, with data showing July passenger volumes up 6.3% year-on-year. Analysts expect the momentum to continue into the Northern Hemisphere winter.
