The leaders and activists of various organizations including the United States Awami League held a protest rally in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Washington DC to protest the fire and terror anarchy across the country. The New York Metropolitan Awami League organized this demonstration on Wednesday (July 24) afternoon.

United States Awami League Acting President Masudul Hasan presided over the rally. Among others were Senior Vice President of United States Awami League Bir Muktijoddha M Fazlur Rahman, and General Secretary Abdus Samad Azad. General Secretary of New York Metropolitan Awami League Imdad Chowdhury conducted the meeting.

Speakers in the rally demanded that Jamaat-BNP be declared a terrorist group and that Jamaat be banned in Bangladesh. On the other hand, a memorandum was given to Sierra Dehmander, an officer of the Bangladesh desk at the State Department, with evidence that Jamaat-BNP had unleashed violence and anarchy across the country in the name of the quota movement.
