UK Bangla Reporters unity’s new committee formed

UK Bangla Reporters Unity has formed a new working committee of 15 members. The Daily Star’s UK representative, Ansar Ahmed Ullah, was elected president. Zubair Ahmed, the UK representative of the DBC channel, has become the general secretary.

The newly formed Executive Committee of UK Bangla Reporters Unity was announced at a ceremony at the Micro Business Center in East London on Sunday (March 3) afternoon.

Outgoing president of Daily Uttarpurba and daily third-level UK representative, veteran journalist Matiar Chowdhury, and associate editor of UK Bangla Guardian magazine. The guests were first welcomed under the direction of Sajidur Rahman. Later, in the first part of the program, the secretary and treasurer presented the report for 2023. Later in the event, SKM Ashraful Huda, Contributing Reporter at Jagannathpur Times, was awarded the Best Reporter of the Year Crest for Best Investigative Report in 2023.

There are 15 members of UK Bangla Reporters Unity in the new committee; the president is Ansar Ahmed Ullah, the UK representative of Daily Star; and the senior vice president is the associate editor of UK Bangla Guardian magazine. Sajidur Rahman, Vice President Biswa Bangla News 24 Chairman Saheda R. Rahman, Vice President 26 Television CEO Jamal Ahmad Khan.

General Secretary elected: DBC Channel UK Correspondent Journalist Zubair Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary UKBangla Guardian Managing Editor Muhammad Saleh Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary Azizul Ambia, Assistant Editor of Ajker Sylhet, Treasurer Jagannathpur Times Contributing Reporter SKM Ashraful Huda, Assistant Treasurer Sylhet Mirza Abul Kasem of Mirror, Organizing and Training Secretary Abdul Bashir, Media and IT Secretary Aminul Haque Manchester correspondent of News24 and ATN Bangla UK, Event and Facility Secretary A Rahman Oli of Habiganj Express.

The EC members are Daily Third Dimension UK Correspondent Matiar Chowdhury, Dhaka Post UK Correspondent, Bangla Mirror Special Correspondent Muhammad Shahed Rahman, and Cinebaaz Times Sunahar Ali.
