As the weather has warmed up, firefighters have been able to contain numerous fires that have destroyed numerous homes and are raging through regional communities in Queensland and New South Wales.
More than a dozen emergency-level fires raged across the two states on Tuesday, but that number has since been reduced to four this afternoon, all in Queensland.
Crews in Queensland are hoping better conditions and a helping hand from interstate teams will help them get on top of a series of fires burning south of Warwick, including in Dalveen and Wallangarra.
There are currently 83 fires burning across the state, with 900 vegetation fires recorded since October 21.
