Taylor Swift may be questioned in the ongoing legal dispute between It Ends with Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, with court filings indicating a potential deposition during the week of October 20–25 to fit around her professional schedule, including the October 3 release of her new album The Life of a Showgirl.
Baldoni’s legal team claims Swift has “agreed to appear” but cannot do so earlier. Swift’s representatives, however, have stressed that her only connection to the 2024 film was licensing her song My Tears Ricochet for its soundtrack. They say she had no role in casting, creative decisions, or production, and only saw the movie weeks after its public release.
Swift was first drawn into the case in 2025 when Baldoni alleged that lively enlisted her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and celebrity friends including Swift to influence the film. Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and of orchestrating a smear campaign after she spoke out, claims he denies.
Baldoni initially subpoenaed Swift in May but later withdrew the request, with Lively’s team accusing him of using her name to generate media attention. Reports suggest Swift and Lively’s once-close friendship has cooled in recent months.
The case is set for trial in March 2026, with the dispute over Swift’s deposition adding another layer to an already high-profile legal battle.
