Preparations are underway in Dhaka’s Gulshan for the return of Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of the BNP, who is scheduled to come back to Bangladesh on December 25 after nearly 18 years. He will reside at House 196 on Gulshan Avenue, located next to Firoza, the rented residence of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

A separate room has also been arranged for Tarique Rahman at the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan. In addition, another house has been rented in the area to serve as the operations center for activities related to the upcoming 11th National Parliamentary Elections.

On Tuesday, December 16, a press conference was held at the party’s new office on Gulshan’s Road 90. During the event, Mahadi Amin, adviser to the acting chairman, announced a national reel-making competition titled “Amar Bhavnay Bangladesh” to mark Tarique Rahman’s homecoming.
