Tarique Rahman Says Winning Public Trust Was BNP’s “Greatest Engineering”

1 min read

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman says the party’s most powerful achievement in the recent election was not strategy or structure, but its ability to win over the people something he described as their “biggest engineering.” He made the remarks on Saturday afternoon during a press conference in Dhaka, where the party shared its post‑election reflections. The comment came in response to a question from Khaled Muhiuddin, Editor‑in‑Chief of Thikaana.

Rahman said the July Charter built on the BNP’s 31‑point manifesto and the Note of Distinction would be implemented in phases. He emphasized that public support remains the party’s greatest strength, and that BNP had worked deliberately and consistently to earn that trust.

His message underscored a theme he has repeated throughout the campaign: that political transformation depends on people’s confidence, and that the party’s mandate comes from those who placed their faith in its vision.
