A Sydney underworld associate’s home came under heavy gunfire overnight, with security footage capturing the moment about 30 rounds were fired into the property while two women and a child were inside.
The attack unfolded just after midnight Sunday on Hunt Street in Guildford West. Video shows a white hatchback pulling up outside the home before the gunman loads a firearm and steps from the driver’s seat. Moments later, dozens of shots shattered the quiet street.
Police said the two women, aged 45 and 23, and a seven-year-old child inside the house were not injured. Investigators believe the shooting is linked to an internal feud within the Alameddine crime network, which operates across Western Sydney.
NSW Police Inspector Ricki Lindner confirmed officers later discovered a firearm inside the gunman’s vehicle after it was found burnt out on a nearby street three hours after the attack.
