In a startling incident that unfolded late Thursday afternoon, two women were hospitalized after a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a childcare center in Sydney’s southwestern suburb of Wattle Grove.

The collision occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the Wattle Grove Long Day Care Centre on Burdekin Court, sending shockwaves through the quiet community.

Emergency services, including NSW Police, paramedics, and Fire and Rescue NSW, rushed to the scene, responding swiftly to assess and manage the situation. A woman in her 20s and another in her 60s sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to Liverpool Hospital. Their current conditions remain unknown, pending updates from hospital sources.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation as officials work to understand what caused the vehicle to leave the road and strike the daycare facility. Fortunately, as the crash occurred outside of regular operating hours, no children were reportedly in harm’s way.
