Sydney-based PR guru and talent expert Jai Evans has died at age 43, according to reports. Bondi fitness entrepreneur Dan Wootton confirmed the heart-breaking news in a statement shared to social media on Friday.
The 43-year-old Aussie entertainment industry icon passed away from unknown causes on Sunday, the Daily Mail reports. His body was found in his Sydney apartment earlier this week.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that police said there were “no apparent suspicious circumstances”.
“RIP Jai Evans. Another beautiful friend taken much too soon before his time,” Mr. Wootton wrote on Facebook, alongside a photo of Evans.
“Your vibrant energy & eagerness to help was second to none. Rest easy Jai, love you mate.”
Evans had more than two decades of industry experience in media and communications. At age 24, he founded his own business called Evans Media in 2005 and worked with hundreds of media companies to help with their PR strategies.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Evans has worked across Sydney as an advertising manager, publicist, magazine publisher and editor.
