Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found critically injured at a home on Dimitrios Court in Hocking early Tuesday morning. He later died in hospital, leaving the tight-knit northern Perth community shaken.
Emergency services were called around 6:45am, and despite paramedics’ efforts, the man could not be saved. Police have cordoned off the street and appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage.
Residents described their shock, with neighbour Doris Sinclair saying her “heart is going 90 miles an hour” and lamenting that the area no longer feels safe. Another resident, Deborah Price, said she never expected such violence in their close community where “all the neighbours know one another.”
Detectives are now piecing together the events leading to the man’s death, urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
