The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actress and model Shefali Jariwala, who died on June 27 at the age of 42. Known for her hit song “Kaanta Laga,” Shefali was reportedly found unresponsive at her home due to a cardiac arrest, leaving her family and friends devastated.

Her close friend and industry colleague, Pooja Ghai, shared details about the tragic incident. In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Pooja revealed that Shefali’s husband, actor Parag Tyagi, had informed her about the events leading up to her death. When she arrived to pay her last respects, she noticed that the house was beautifully decorated for a Satyanarayan puja, indicating that a ceremony was already underway.

Pooja explained that Parag had asked the helper to take their dog for a walk so he could check on Shefali upstairs. “Parag waited by the lift, handed the dog to the helper, and went to see Shefali. He told me she still had a pulse, but her eyes weren’t opening, and she was just dead weight. He immediately knew something was wrong,” she said. Parag then rushed her to the hospital. Unfortunately, by the time she reached Bellevue Hospital, Shefali was already no longer alive.

Her last rites were performed at the Oshiwara Hindu crematorium, attended by her family and close friends. Her sudden passing has left a void in the industry, and fans are mourning the loss of a talented artist who made a lasting impact with her work.
