Sharman Joshi to Make His Bengali Debut with ‘Bhalobasar Morshum’

A groundbreaking change is set to shake up the world of acting as renowned Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, best known for his role in ‘Three Idiots,’ prepares to step into Tollywood. Currently, he is set to star in a Bengali film titled Bhalobasar Morshum, alongside popular actress Sushmita Chatterjee from West Bengal and Bangladesh’s Tanjin Tisha.

The film is directed by M N Raj, with production by Mehr Entertainment Ventures, Himani Films, and Floating Water. Recently, the film’s motion poster was unveiled at an exclusive Kolkata club, drawing attention from industry insiders and fans alike. Sharman and Sushmita were present at the event, though Tanjin Tisha couldn’t attend due to visa issues.

Expressing his excitement about this new venture, Sharman said, “I’ve been working in Hindi, Marathi, and South Indian films. It feels great to now work in Bengali cinema.” Praising his co-star Sushmita, he added, “I’ve seen some of her work, and she has a lot of potential. Working with her is a pleasure. Everyone involved is experienced, so I believe this film will leave a mark on the audience.”

Currently, Sharman is preparing for his Bengali debut, which marks his first time speaking in the language. He humorously shared, “Right now, I’m learning Bengali from Sushmita herself.”

The story revolves around college student Hia (Tanjin Tisha), who falls in love with Professor Abir (Sharman Joshi). However, Abir’s heart remains attached to his former girlfriend, Parmita (Sushmita). The film explores this complex love triangle, promising an engaging narrative.

Industry insiders and fans are optimistic that Sharman Joshi’s entry into Bengali cinema will offer a fresh, unique experience. With his debut film in the language, he aims to win the hearts of Bengali audiences and make a memorable impression in Tollywood.
