Sharif Osman Hadi Battles for Life After Severe Head Injury

1 min read

Sharif Osman Hadi remains in a critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. According to Dr. Sayedur Rahman, the bullet entered just above Hadi’s left ear and exited through the right side, damaging the brain stem, the part of the brain that controls vital life functions. Doctors have classified the injury as a massive brain trauma. No further medical intervention is currently possible, and Hadi is being kept alive on life support.

Dr. Rahman explained that Hadi is surviving with the help of artificial respiration. Despite the severity of the injury, there are faint signs of life. During surgery, Hadi showed brief attempts to breathe on his own, offering a small glimmer of hope.

The situation, however, remains extremely difficult. Before surgery, Hadi went into shock. Later, while being transferred by ambulance, he suffered heavy bleeding from his nose and throat, though doctors managed to bring it under control.

Dr. Rahman cautioned that the next 72 hours are highly dangerous. The bullet’s trajectory caused extensive damage to the brain stem, making recovery uncertain. For now, the medical team is focused on monitoring his condition and maintaining life support.
