Bangladeshi cricket star, businessman and politician Shakib Al Hasan is set to add a new title to his already diverse career publisher. Despite living abroad for political reasons, the former national captain has announced a new media venture from the United States: a bilingual digital news outlet called Beyond Bangla.
Shakib said the platform will publish news in both Bangla and English, with Bangla receiving primary emphasis even though the operation will be based in the US. He also confirmed that the initial phase of the newsroom’s activities will begin under his direct supervision.
As a digital platform, Beyond Bangla will feature both text and visual content. Shakib plans to cover a full range of topics politics, economy, international affairs, sports, entertainment and more with a focus on delivering “all exclusive news.”
With this initiative, Shakib Al Hasan is preparing to open a new chapter in his multi‑faceted public life, expanding his footprint from sports and business into the world of media.
