Arabia is set to dramatically expand its investments in the United States, with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) announcing plans to raise the figure from $600 billion to nearly $1 trillion.
Speaking alongside President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, MBS told reporters: “I think today or tomorrow we will be able to announce that this $600 billion investment will be increased to nearly $1 trillion.”
He added that the two countries are preparing to sign multiple agreements across sectors ranging from technology to artificial intelligence (AI), which he said would create “major investment opportunities.”
President Trump expressed surprise at the scale of the increase, asking: “So you’re saying $600 billion will now become $1 trillion?” MBS responded: “Absolutely, because the agreements we are signing today will make this expansion possible.”
The announcement underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing economic footprint in the U.S. and highlights the strengthening of bilateral ties through both economic and defense-related cooperation.
