Reunion of BUET Alumni in Perth: An Unforgettable Evening

The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), a beacon of engineering and technology, continues to illuminate the world with the brilliance of its graduates. Recently, amidst their busy lives, former BUET students gathered under one roof in Perth, Australia, to celebrate their annual reunion.

On November 16, 2024, the BUET Alumni Association of Western Australia hosted their highly anticipated reunion at the Gary Holland Community Centre in Rockingham. From 7 PM to 11 PM, this event brought together BUET alumni and their families for an enchanting cultural evening.

The evening began with a warm welcome, as former students were visibly moved to reconnect. Among the attendees were alumni, their families, and sponsors, all reminiscing about the past and sharing new experiences.

Cultural Showcase

The highlight of the reunion was an impressive cultural showcase that captivated the audience. Alumni and their children displayed a variety of talents, featuring poetry recitations, children’s dance performances, and a musical show by former students, which became the centerpiece of the evening.

The cultural segment was particularly touching, with emotional poetry that expressed deep affection for their homeland and a heartfelt connection to BUET. The children’s dance performances were a delightful blend of innocence and creativity, creating a joyful atmosphere.
