Israel continues to attack the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza. Apart from schools, refugee camps, mosques, churches, hospitals are also being attacked. Most of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed.
Thousands of homeless people are living in temporary shelters. In this situation, the reconstruction of Gaza will cost 90 billion or 9 billion US dollars, said Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
He also commented that what happened in Gaza is a challenge for Egypt and the entire region. Anadolu news agency reported this information in a report on Saturday (March 9).
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Saturday that his country would need $9 trillion to rebuild the Gaza Strip bordering the border. According to Cairo News Channel, in a speech at the Cairo Convention Center, Sisi asked (Egyptian state institutions) to account for “the amount of money needed to rebuild the Gaza Strip devastated by Israeli bombardment.” He claimed that 90 billion dollars are needed for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
“What happened in Gaza is a challenge for Egypt and the entire region,” he noted. The Rafah crossing is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we are eager to bring aid to the Gaza Strip.
