Ramadan begins in Canada

As the moon was sighted, the fasting of the holy month of Ramadan began in Canada from Monday (March 11). On Sunday (March 10) the first Tarawih prayer was held.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, devout Muslims from different countries gathered to offer Tarawih prayers at the Akram Jumma Mosque in Calgary, Canada. During this time, special prayers were prayed for the peace of the Muslim Ummah around the world along with the cessation of war.

Senior Imam of Akram Jumma Mosque, Sheikh Jamal Hammoud, after the Tarawi prayers, highlighted the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan to the Muslim Ummah and urged them to observe the month of Ramadan properly.
