Rachel Zegler, the actress who recently starred as Snow White, shares her approach to dealing with online comments, which she finds can often be alarming. Instead of adopting a victim mindset, she chooses to focus on positivity, light, and happiness.
Zegler, 24, faced mixed reactions when she was cast in the role, with some questioning the decision back in 2021. The following year, she was again criticized after describing Prince Charming from the original 1937 tale as “dated” and saying he “literally stalks” Snow White.
When asked about the comments she receives on social media, Zegler told a magazine that it can be “interesting” and “really alarming at times.” She emphasized her mindset, saying, “A victim mindset is a choice, and I don’t choose it. I also don’t choose nastiness or negativity.” Instead, she opts for positivity, light, and happiness, believing that happiness is a conscious choice. “Every day I wake up and I think I’m very lucky to live the life I do,” she added.
Beyond her views on online negativity, Zegler has expressed support for Palestine amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, stating that her compassion has no boundaries and that supporting one cause does not mean opposing others.
