425 patrol teams of RAB have been deployed to protect people’s lives and property during the ongoing political situation and strike. Out of this, 145 patrol teams have been deployed in Dhaka alone.
RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin confirmed this information on Monday (November 20) morning.
He said that 145 patrol teams of RAB forces are deployed in the capital to keep the law and order situation normal. To prevent any kind of vandalism and violence, detectives have continued surveillance in disguise at important places including bus stands, and railway stations.
He also said that to ensure the safety of passengers and goods transport, RAB is delivering long-distance public transport and cargo transport safely to the destination through RAB patrols.
Earlier, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, together with its partners, Democracy Forum, 12 Party Alliance, Jatiyatabadi Sammana Alliance, Bangladesh Public Rights Parishad, Labor Party, and LDP announced the strike separately.
