Nrityanjali Dance Academy organized the traditional Pitha-Parban program of Village Bengal on June 9 (Sunday) in continuation of the Thirteen Parban celebrations over the twelve months. The event took place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Dance Academy Hall Room in Lakemba, Sydney.
This time, the main attractions of this Nrityanjali event were a Bengali handwriting competition, a saree-jewelry exhibition, a photo booth, and entertainment for guests with various kinds of native Pithapuli. Apart from this, there were various types of drinks and various types of sweets, Jhalmuri, and tea arrangements.
Interesting cultural programs are performed throughout the day. Nrityanjali Dance Academy has been practicing the country culture in Sydney for 19 years. Moushumi and Rajesh Saha were the main planners of the Pitha-Parvan event.
The program was written and conducted by Dr. Ratan Kundu.
Pompa Hati performed a solo dance. Moushumi Saha, Sultana Sufia Mitu, and Sadia Bushra performed the party dance. A new addition this time was an impeccable solo by TV star and noted dancer Tanima Banerjee from Karndhar Opar Bengal of Vandana Cultural School and a duet with her son Tamjit Chakraborty. Their impeccable dance moves captivated the audience.
The arriving guests greeted Nrityanjali in their welcome speech and promised to stand by. At the end of the ceremony, the guests cut the cake and wished the dancer a long life.
Dance master Rajesh and principal Moushumi Saha thanked the guests and expressed their determination to build a non-communal Bangladesh. Moushumi Saha announced the end of the program by inviting everyone in advance to the second watch of Bengali culture, Nakshi Nahar-2, to be held in September.
