Osman Hadi, spokesperson for Inquilab Mancha and an independent candidate hopeful for Dhaka-8, remains in a critical state after being shot, according to members of the multidisciplinary medical board overseeing his treatment. Specialists described his brain condition as “very poor,” noting that clinically he is still at a highly precarious stage. Plans are being considered to transfer him abroad for further treatment.
On Sunday, December 14, the medical board held an emergency meeting between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Prior to the meeting, a CT scan was conducted. Doctors reported that his lung condition remains unchanged. At present, Hadi’s breathing is being maintained through life support.
One positive sign is that his kidney function has returned to normal. Doctors said fluid balance is being managed based on a daily urine output of approximately four liters.
