BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami called a three-day blockade program in separate announcements. Due to the blockade, no long-distance buses are leaving from the capital’s Gabtali, Technical, and Kalyanpur bus terminals.

Some passengers come to the counter but they are unable to go to their destination. No bus is released due to passenger shortage. Transport officials say that there is no rush of passengers at the bus counter due to the blockade. It is said that there are no passengers in the number of people who are coming. And the passengers say that there is fear of blockade at the counter. There is fear of attack and vandalism among them.

From Tuesday (October 31) morning at the Gabtali Inter-District Bus Terminal, many counters were found to be closed. Some people open the counter and sit, but the desired passenger is not seen. As the bus is not full, the passengers who want to go to the destination in urgent need are in trouble. No 42 or 52-seater bus carries more than five passengers.
