New Zealand wrapped up their home season in style, finishing the three match Test series against the West Indies with a commanding victory. The hosts won the final Test by a massive 323 runs, securing the series 2–0.
In the first innings at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand piled up an imposing 575 runs. The West Indies showed some resistance early in their chase of a daunting 462 run target in the second innings, reaching 87 without loss. But their innings collapsed dramatically soon after, losing all ten wickets for just 51 additional runs.
The heavy defeat ended any hopes of a comeback and confirmed New Zealand’s dominance throughout the series.
