Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman has been a regular face in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the 2016 season. Although no Bangladeshi players, including Mustafizur, were picked in the last auction, he later joined Delhi Capitals as a replacement signing.
With another IPL season approaching, the mini-auction is scheduled for December 16, and Mustafizur is once again drawing attention. The left-arm “cutter master” has been given a base price of ₹2 crore for the 2026 auction.
Ahead of the bidding, analysts are weighing the strengths and weaknesses of franchises and predicting potential signings. Cricket portal Cricbuzz has identified two teams as possible destinations for Mustafizur: Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.
