Mizanur Rahman awarded ‘Freedom of the City of London’ Award

British Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI) Director and North West Region President, International Charity Organization Just Help Foundation UK Chairman and Eye Hospital Founder Chairman Mizanur Rahman Mizan has been honored with the ‘Freedom of the City of London’ Award.

He was awarded this award for his special charity work and journalism contribution. Mizan was the first British Bangladeshi to achieve this honor in Manchester.

He will soon be presented with this prestigious award at a ceremony at London City Council.

It is known that the Freedom of the City of London Award was launched in 1237. As such, this award is one of the oldest and most traditional awards in Britain. Many important people have been honored with this award in the past for their significant contributions to various fields of society. Notable among them is Queen Elizabeth II. John Carey, Van Morrison, Dammy Marie Peters, Shabana Azmi, Lord Mayor Professor Michael Manelli, and Hyde-Stalybridge MP Jonathan Reynald among others.
