Military Tensions Rise Around Iran as U.S. Mobilizes Forces and Tehran Issues Stern Warning

2 min read

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated sharply as Israel believes the United States is nearing the final stages of preparing for a potential military operation against Iran. According to Israel’s Channel 12, Washington is gathering significant military assets across the region and preparing for possible Iranian retaliation if a strike occurs. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision.

Channel 12 reported that it will take several more days for the full deployment of U.S. warships, fighter jets and heavy weaponry to be completed. This marks the largest American military buildup in the Middle East in the past eight months. Assets include the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, guided‑missile destroyers, cruisers, fighter squadrons and additional air and missile defense systems.

Last week, President Trump announced that a large U.S. naval fleet was moving toward Iran, intensifying speculation about a possible American strike. He later clarified that he does not seek military confrontation and prefers reducing tensions through dialogue with the Iranian government.

Unrest Inside Iran Adds to Volatility

Iran has been grappling with violent unrest since December 28, when protests over rising living costs escalated into nationwide clashes. Heavy crackdowns by security forces have worsened the situation. Human rights groups estimate that nearly 4,000 people have been killed by security forces’ gunfire.

During the height of the protests, Trump threatened military action against Iran but later said the U.S. stepped back from its plans after Tehran halted the killings.

Israel and Iran Issue Their Own Alerts

Israel’s Home Front Command has maintained its existing public safety guidelines, noting that updates will be issued if the situation changes.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has warned that any attack-large or small-will be treated as the start of an all‑out war, signaling that Tehran is prepared to respond forcefully to any military action.
