Leading technology companies Meta and Oculi have jointly announced the launch of their latest smart glasses. The new device is called the Oculi-Meta HSTN model, priced at 499 dollars (approximately 59,400 Bangladeshi Taka). Pre-orders for the glasses begin from July 11.

This new smart glass closely resembles Meta’s previous Ray-Ban smart glasses but comes with several upgraded features. It includes a front-facing camera, open-ear speakers, and a built-in microphone within the frame. Users can connect the glasses to their phones to listen to music, podcasts, make calls, or chat directly with Meta’s AI.

Additionally, the onboard camera and microphone enable Meta’s AI to answer questions related to what the user is viewing. The glasses will also support language translation, enhancing communication capabilities.

Designed especially for athletes, the glasses have an IPX water resistance rating, providing protection against water exposure. Notably, the battery life has doubled compared to the Ray-Ban model, offering up to eight hours of usage on a single charge. With a charging case, the glasses can operate for up to 48 hours continuously.

These new smart glasses are set to excite tech enthusiasts, promising to bring greater comfort and connectivity into everyday life and heralding a new chapter in wearable technology.
