The pre‑announced protest programme ‘March for Insaaf’ has been successfully carried out in Dhaka, demanding justice for the killing of Osman Hadi, leader of the anti‑Indian hegemony movement and spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho.
On Tuesday (5 January), before 10am, activists and supporters of the organisation gathered at Shahbagh from various points around Dhaka University.
Protesters Chant Slogans Calling for Justice
At the start of the march, participants chanted slogans such as:
- “We will not let Hadi’s blood go in vain”
- “Injustice will drown in a flood of blood”
- “My brother is in the grave, why are the killers free”
- “Red‑green flag, the flag of Inqilab”
- “Delhi or Dhaka? Dhaka, Dhaka”
More than ten pickup trucks carried activists as the march began.
Inqilab Moncho’s Four Demands
- Complete the trial of the killers, planners, and the entire network involved in the murder within 24 days
- Cancel work permits of all Indian nationals currently residing in Bangladesh
- File a case against India in the International Court of Justice if the suspects are not returned
- Identify and prosecute fascist collaborators hidden within civil‑military intelligence agencies
Route of the Road March
Starting from Shahid Hadi Chattar in Shahbagh, the march proceeded through:
- Science Lab intersection
- In front of City College
- Mohammadpur’s three‑road junction
- Mirpur‑10 roundabout
The procession then reached Uttara, where it took a brief break at BBNS Center at around 2:30pm.
