A man has died following a light plane crash in south-west New South Wales.
Emergency services responded around 2 pm on Wednesday after reports of the crash on D-Block Road, north of Balranald, approximately 130 kilometers west of Hay.
Upon arrival, rescue crews found the man in critical condition. Despite providing medical treatment, NSW paramedics were unable to save him, and he died at the scene. The man was the only person onboard the aircraft.
He has not yet been officially identified but is believed to be in his 50s.
Authorities have established a crime scene, and a report will be prepared for the coroner. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate to determine the cause of the crash.
