Homicide detectives have charged a 47‑year‑old Banksia Grove man with manslaughter after a woman was found unresponsive inside a home in Perth’s northern suburbs. Police were called to the property on Mayali Bend around 9am on Thursday, where paramedics attempted to revive the 42‑year‑old woman but were unable to save her.
The man, who police say was known to the victim, was arrested shortly after and questioned by detectives. He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
The incident has prompted a major investigation, with forensic officers examining the home as detectives work to piece together the circumstances leading to the woman’s death.
