Man arrested after allegedly opening fire after two cars crash

A guy who allegedly started shooting after two cars collided at a Melbourne junction on Monday has been subdued by bystanders.

Following the terrifying event in Doncaster at around 11 a.m., police said the man is currently in custody.

Members of the public managed to overpower the man and hold him until police arrived.

The 32-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries, was arrested and is currently in police custody. Officers located a firearm at the scene which was seized.

No one else was injured. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and will be interviewed by police.
