Legal Trouble for Hasin Jahan as Neighbor Files Complaint Against Her and Daughter

1 min read

Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, is once again in legal hot water after a neighbor filed a police complaint against her and her daughter from a previous marriage, Arshi. The complaint follows a viral video of an alleged altercation, which has not been independently verified.

In the complaint, Dalia Khatun, the neighbor, accuses Jahan and Arshi of attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and assault. The viral footage appears to show a heated dispute, though the authenticity of the video remains unconfirmed.

The core issue revolves around a plot of land in Suri town, Birbhum district, West Bengal, registered in Arshi’s name. According to Siyasat Daily, the West Bengal police stated that Dalia objected when Jahan began construction on the land, asserting that the property is under dispute.

Previously, the Calcutta High Court ordered Shami to pay Rs 400,000 per month to Jahan and their daughter Aaira as part of their divorce settlement. The couple’s four-year marriage ended in 2018 following accusations of domestic violence by Jahan, a former model.

This latest development adds further complexity to the ongoing personal and legal battles surrounding Jahan and Shami
