Kimberley Fisherman Fights Off Crocodile Attack with Punch to the Nose

A man from Kimberley had a harrowing encounter with a saltwater crocodile, managing to escape by punching the reptile in the nose while spearfishing near islands off the One Arm Point remote community.

The incident, coinciding with the buzz around the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, saw the fisherman engaging in a life-or-death struggle of his own.

After the attack, the man was transported to Broome Hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged on Sunday. The Bardi Jawi rangers confirmed the details of the attack to the national broadcaster.
