Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain will be honoured with the 2,819th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 4, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced. The ceremony, set for 11:30 a.m. PT outside the W Hollywood Hotel, will feature guest speakers Viola Davis and Al Pacino.
Chastain, celebrated for acclaimed performances in Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, and her Oscar-winning role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye, made her feature film debut in 2008’s Jolene after early work on stage including a 1998 turn as Juliet and in television series such as ER and Veronica Mars.
Beyond her acting career, Chastain recently surprised fans by enrolling in Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she is pursuing a master’s in public administration. The two-year program is designed for experienced leaders and allows students to tailor their studies to personal and professional goals.
A Juilliard School alumna (BFA, Drama, 2003), Chastain also holds an honorary doctorate from the institution, awarded in 2024 for her contributions to film and theatre.
The Walk of Fame honour adds to a career marked by critical acclaim, box office success, and advocacy for gender equality and social justice.
